Hemp History Week May 2 - May 8
No, you can't get high from hemp, but eating the seed will provide you with that other kind of high you get when you eat healthy foods containing rich amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, protein, vitamin E and fiber.
This week we celebrate Hemp History Week at Abundance, with discounts and samples throughout the store on hemp products.
Hemp History Week is a national grassroots education campaign designed to renew strong support for hemp farming in the U.S. such as milk alternatives, hemp seeds, and protein powder. Hemp History Week seeks to celebrate America’s rich history with industrial hemp and generate strong support for the re-legalization of hemp farming.
Did you know that ice-cream, non-dairy beverages and protein powders can be made from nutritious hemp seeds? Or that body-care products like soaps, lotions, and lip balms contain hemp oil? And that hemp fibers can be made into environmental friendly paper, fabric and building materials?
